ReKuhello, I'm new to owncloud and have a problem with the link passwords, is this the right place to ask?
jvillafanezReKu: if you expect a short answer, yes, otherwise I'd recommend https://central.owncloud.org/
ReKuI tried to share a (public) link by just copy and pasting it into an email. the recipient needed a password however, although I didn't set a password. In the share link view I could also not see what the password was, only a representation with stars: *** Me trying to change the password resulted in multiple reloads leading to a flood of password mails for the recipient. What did I do wrong?
ReKuI then tried to share the link with my secondary mail account, where I had the same mail flood happening when I set a password.
jvillafanezReKu: it seems a bug, probably regarding the email sending. Would you mind to open a ticket either in https://central.owncloud.org/ or in https://github.com/owncloud/core/issues?
ReKujvillafanez: I set up a new topic on central.owncloud: https://central.owncloud.org/t/problem-setting-link-passwords/11739
cuscohello
cuscojust upgraded from 9.1.5 to .. latest (10.*)
cuscoand I'm reading about file locking
cuscoI have memcached installed and was using it, but no redis
cuscoand all I read is on how to setup file locking on redis...
cuscoSo.. is there a suitable "transactional file locking" mechanism, besides redis?
cuscoseems like now it is using the "slow database-based"
jvillafanezcusco: memcached should work too, and the required configuration should be similar
cuscojvillafanez: ok thanks.. so right now I have 'memcache.local' => '\\OC\\Memcache\\APCu'
cuscoso I can set 'memcache.locking' => '\\OC\\Memcache\\ACPu',
cusco?
jvillafanezcusco: I think it's either redis or memcached, the same options that the distributed cache has
suneetsriHello, can anybody help me in setting up the owncloud server
